Alright, so here we’ve got TWO new commercials I did for Sony, promoting their RX100 IV cameras that can do some crazy high framerate stuff. I was able to shoot super high framerate footage of soccer, candles being blown out and balloons popping. I recorded these at 960 frames per second – 40 times the normal speed. It was, by far, the highest frame rate I’ve ever shot in. I ran into some initial problems with my lights; the frame rate was so high that it captures the cycle of electricity fluctuating in the bulbs! This can’t be seen by the naked eye but the camera picked it up. Thankfully, I had some LED lights that did not alternate currents.

What’s interesting is that this camera does 960 fps AND 4k resolution in a point-and-shoot body. It’s a bit pricey at the moment but when it comes down, it would be a nice buy for those that go to a lot of events, concerts, etc.

It’s also worth mentioning that I got to do a voiceover for this project, which was really fun. Anyway, enough about the technical stuff. Check out the commercials below:
